About Us - The Origin Story

The first incarnation of West Street Soaps was as Bearskin & Tunic in 2020. We (the royal we!) produced a range of shaving soaps, soap bars and aftershave splashes (we briefly dabbled in beard balm but that was short lived). We had a lot of fun with it and people loved the products but life events meant we had to knock it on the head in 2022.

Fast forward to now in 2026. We are back (and not the royal we this time) and settled in Carshalton. We have decided to make a comeback as West Street Soaps. As the name suggests, we are based just off West Street in Carshalton - by The Hope pub to be precise. To start with we are building the product line-up of soap bars, shaving soap, aftershave splash and bath bombs around the Hero product, Tarifa, a neroli & pink grapefruit tribute to the kitesurfing haven in Spain.

We have other scents waiting in the wings but for now let's see how this unfolds...
